Weather
When it comes to Tennessee weather, the maxim is 'if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes'. Tennessee weather is notoriously unpredictable, and although October is typically pretty mild, it could be -2 and snowing or 98 and sunny. The average mid-October temperatures for Middle Tennessee are highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
As of 12 October, the high for wedding day is supposed to be 66 with a low of 44 and a 30% chance of showers during the day. For up-to-date weather information, please look at the Weather Channel.

Guest Attire
The dress code for the wedding is comfort. Wear whatever you like -- this is a happy family atmosphere. Please keep in mind, however, that the event is in a place of worship, so you should dress accordingly (though as adults, you don't need to be reminded of this). Because the reception will end after it's dark outside, it's recommended that you have a sweater or jacket to keep warm as you leave.
There will be dancing and some pretty atrocious music at the reception, so if you're wanting to be all fancy-pants during the ceremony but get your groove on later, you might want to bring a change of shoes. Or, you know, just go barefoot like Allison and Zola will, as shoes are just another form of The Man trying to keep our tootsies oppressed.
